Video BMW Shows Off i3 EV and i8 Hybrid Concepts
Weve already given you a first look at the i3 pure-electric hatchback as well as the sporty i8 gasoline-electric hybrid coupe concepts, but BMW has also released a series of films on both vehicles.
For the time being, the films show computer generated version of the i3 and i8 but we reckon it wont be long before BMW releases real-life videos of the two concept cars that will receive their world premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show this September.

Edo Competition’s Menacing BMW M5 Dark Edition
Called the M5 Dark Edition, the modified BMW wagon sports a tuned version of the 5.0-liter V10 that has been upgraded with a recalibrated ECU, high-flow air filters and catalytic converters as well as a newly developed high-performance exhaust system.
As a result, output has been lifted from 500HP and 521 Nm (384 lb-ft) to 555-horsepower and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft), with the M5 Dark Edition completing the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in 4.2 seconds (0.5 seconds faster than the stock model) and the 100km/h -200km/h acceleration in under 10 seconds. By removing the electronic speed nanny, the M5 Touring reaches a top speed of 305km/h (190mph).
The tune continues with a new aero kit comprising of a front apron with additional lights, a rear apron that makes way for bespoke exhaust tips and a roof wing. The high-performance station wagon now rides on new 20-inch alloy wheels painted in black with a sliver rim and shod in Dunlop tires size 255/35 R20 at the front and 285/30 R20 at the rear.
As for the interior upgrades, Edo Competition offers a variety of solutions ranging from leather upholsteries and carbon trim parts to a new speedometer with white dials with a backlit logo.

As part of the Design Challenge at the LA Auto Show BMW shows the ePatrol how it views the Police Car of the Year will look 2025th. Called 2025 BMW ePatrol.
The Design Challenge 2012 as part of the Auto Show in Los Angeles, has the theme "Highway Patrol Vehicle 2025", and so, too, BMW has taken his thoughts, like a police car might look in the future.
Compared to Mercedes Ener-G-Force Concept that will also show look like a G-Class in 2025, could have the BMW designers have no guidelines and their imaginations run wild.
The result is an extremely futuristic mix of cars, motorbikes and robots that could play in any science fiction movie a major role when it comes to getting around in 2025.
